THE BEST Low Carb, Gluten Free Bread Rolls
OMG!!! These are seriously the best low carb and gluten free bread rolls you will ever make. You wouldn’t even know that they are low carb or gluten free when you taste them!!
11/4 cups of almond meal
5 tbsp ground psyllium husk powder
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 egg whites
1 1/4 cups boiling water
top with sesame seeds when formed into rolls (optional)
1. Mix all dry ingredients into your mixing bowl and stir together
2. Add the egg whites and water and whisk for about 2-3 minutes until all the ingredients have come together (the ‘dough’ will be a lot wetter than traditional bread dough)
3 Scoop a large tbsp of the dough and roll into a slightly flattened ball and place on silpat on a baking tray (or a greased baking tray) Repeat with rest of the ingredients. You should have enough to make 8 – 10 rolls. Top each roll with a sprinkle of sesame seeds
4. Bake at 375F for 50 minutes.
I love to eat one when it comes straight out the oven, with a little cashew nut cheese and salad. But they are just as good served cold with a spicy mushroom and zucchini burger in!! However you like your bread, use these fantastic less than 2 carbs a roll, gluten free bread rolls.
