Skinny Easy Almond Milk
This recipe can’t really be any easier. It’s literally 2 ingredients (and one of those is water!!!) It’s so much cheaper than buying your almond milk from the supermarket and this doesn’t have ANY sugar in it!
1 cup of almonds
3 cups of water
plus water for soaking nuts
You will need to start the day before as the almonds need to have soaked for 24 hours and you will need either a nut bag or a cheesecloth.
- Place the almonds in a bowl and cover with water. Leave to soak for 12 hours
- Rinse the almonds and place in your blender with the 3 cups of water and blend until pretty smooth
- Strain through the cheesecloth/nutbag (this will take a couple of hours)
Voila! you have your almond milk. To my mind it does not need any additional sugar or anything else added to it. It is great in the morning with your muesli and also if you fancy a hot milky drink at the end of the day.
